The Founding Vision
Lenzip was founded in 1946 by Leonard Lichtenstein, who set out to build durable zippers for demanding industrial and commercial applications. His goal was simple but ambitious: create high-quality zippers that customers could count on — every order, every time.

Lenzip begins continuous U.S. production of industrial and commercial zippers.
1996
Leadership passes to the next generation with Paul Lichtenstein.
2007
Relocation to a new 40,000 sq. ft. facility in Rolling Meadows, IL, doubling capacity and expanding molded and fire-resistant plastic zipper production.
2017
Launch of the No. 12 Marine Grade UV Zipper, exceeding industry size standards and serving the growing marine market.
Recent Years
Integration of ZipperSource.com, streamlining customer access and broadening product availability.
